Kurt swallowed looking away from her. "Just something I have to deal with on my own...." He said quietly not liking how pained her voice was getting a little bit mad at himself.

Katherine looked away from him. Sitting up. Not touching him anymore. "Y-You don't trust me to know do you..." she whispered painfully. Hating that he was keeping things from her. Glaring at the bed. Angry at herself. Why didn't he trust her? Was it because of what happened earlier? she thought to herself. Her glare softening. Staying looking away from him sadly. Why couldn't he just tell her. She wouldn't care if he'd just tell her what he was hiding.

Kurt felt worse when she spoke. "It's not like that... I just don't want to have you all mixed up in my past." He said talking quickly as he stood up too scared to touch her as he looked at her afraid of what she'd ask next.

Katherine glanced at him. "I-I want to be a part of your life...no matter what happens or happened..." she whispered, still a bit painfully. Beginning to mess with her bracelet nervously. Afraid he wouldn't want her to know things. Making her think about what else he was keeping from her. Only scaring her more. Shaking a little.

Kurt shook his head walking back and forth. "But I'm not in that part of my life any more and I don't want to drag you along with me..." He said saddly. He looked at her his eyes looking a bit sad when he saw her playing with her bracelet. "Please understand. I can't be back in there and if the only reason I'm happy tries to be part of it, I'll go nuts." He said not looking at her any more.

Katherine looked at him for a moment as he started to walk around. Sighing quietly. "I-I'm not asking you to be in that part of your life anymore...I-I just want to know...." she whispered painfully. Not understanding how talking to a lawyer had anything to do with his life. Forcing herself to take her hand away from her bracelet. Taking his hand when he walked in front of her. Turning him to face her. Wrapping her legs around him so he couldn't keep pacing. Bringing up his hand and kissing his knuckles gently. "Shhh" she whispered, trying to calm him down.

Kurt sighed shaking his head. "Fine. I've been hiding form my old friends and my whole family for two years." He said still not looking at her as he pulled his hand out of hers gently. "They remind me of... Sarah and I just haven't been able to talk to any of them." He said rubbing his eyelids as he moved her legs backing away from her. "My dad's a lawyer though so I asked him about what I should do." He said quietly.

Katherine stood up. Not very happy that he had already talked to a lawyer about it. Wrapping her arm around him and leaning her chin on his chest looking up at him. "I-I don't want you to do anything your not ready for..." she whispered, brushing some of his hair back into place. Caressing his cheek gently, looking into his eyes.

Kurt shook his head a little. "I'm more worried about you..." He said swallowing a little. "If that guy touches you again I might just have to call my grandparents to see if you can work for them..." He joked slightly actually thinking about it. It would be so much better for her until he got that guy to stay away from her.

Katherine got a bit more scared as he kept talking. She didn't want to go to a farm, she wasn't ready for that again. It brang up to many things she had worked to hard to try and forget. Especially about her brother and her old farm home. Slowly moving and sitting back on the bed. Pulling him back in, covering them with the blankets. Resting her head on his chest gently. Sliding his phone up closer to him. Scared but ignored it, letting him do what he wanted. If he felt better protecting her then she was going to let him even if it did scare her. As long as he was happy she was fine with it. Looking at the screen to see what he would do. Tracing his chest to calm her nerves.
