(Nah, no conspiracy. But this would make a great story- kind of like Ready Player One, a game that everyone is always on, it's just about the most popular thing in the world, and it starts not working correctly. Everyone is devastated [those who play the game anyways] and these two random people who have never talked before in real life, but write stories together or something through the game, try to solve the problem together while dealing with the problems themselves.)
