The orb at the end of it's tail glows brighter and brighter until a bright light flashes and the creature is lying on the ground, still.

I pick it up carefully and listen for a heartbeat. "Please be ok...!" Tears are flowing freely now.

The creature's eyes snap open and it jumps out of your hands, running away back into the forest.

'...I hope it's ok...Whoever put that trap there is dead....!' I think to myself

The broken trap lay on the ground.

I gather it up and shove what I can into my backpack and head towards where I had landed.

You hear a snicker in the bushes. "Almost there..." Someone whispers, quickly followed by a hurried shush.

After hearing that, I decide to ignore it, but take extra caution when I continue.

Too late, you spot the ultra thin tripwire fixes onto the ground in front of you. A net falls on you and a strange gas surrounds you.

I try to hold my breath, but obviously it wouldn't last long.
