Hatter stared at the beasts, they reminded him of something that happened so long ago. He wouldn't be bullied by these beasts, he would... might follow the rules for now but when it came later it would be his own turn to make up the rules.
"Okay then, what are the rules?" He asked coldly as he watched the muscle beasts, as he would probably call them now, "I need to know so I can follow them."

Lio shivered. Now he wished he wasn't so good at technology...

Nicote nodded. He'd done well. He knew that. And he'd been given "privellages", like personally repairing the Warden's personal items.


Cole grimaced.

She is surprisingly unfazed by the dogs presence. Sure, its gross, but shes seen stuff equally disgusting before. However, she continues to stand in front of Riley, as if to protect him.

Aaron growled. The welcoming prison speech, she hated rehearing it every time the new people came in. She looked down at the ground and frowned heavily as she waited for it to be over.

Jack made his way over to Aaron. He hated having to watch everyone suffer every time a group of new kids came in. He put a hand on her shoulder, attempting to comfort her.

Aaron looked up at Jack and gave him a quick nod. "Thanks." She whispered. She gulped. Just a few minutes longer, hopefully.

He nodded once, his lips pulled into a grim line as he watched the events unfold before them.

Aaron's head jolted to the side again. She closed her eyes tight. "Please just go." She mumbled. When would this bane upon the earth that was the warden leave?

The Warden stopped a distance before the group and Victoria could swear the temperature dropped several degrees. She didn't know why but she started to think of him as a black hole, like he sucked all the life and warmth and goodness from whatever was nearby. The closer he got the more it felt as though something was being wrenched out of Victoria's body. She squirmed in discomfort, pressing closer to Hatter.

"You've already broken the first and most important rule of Furnace," the warden went on. "But since you didn't know it, I guess we'll excuse you this once. When the siren sounds, you must be either in your cell or in the yellow circle in the yard. Anyone breaks that rule then I can't guarantee their safety." He gestured at the guns on the wall. "It's a precautionary measure, you understand. If you hear one long blast on the siren, then you must get to your cells. That means lockdown, and that's when things really get nasty if you're left outside." This time he nodded at his dogs, which began to drool messily on the stone floor.
