I pause wondering if I should follow her or wait outside

"Emma!" your master shouts, "Come get rid of this old hag. She asked for shelter but I have none to give... not for her at least." he walked back into his home leaving you and the old women out in the cold.

You take the old women to the barn where you sleep and give her refuge for the night in return she tells you to hold out you hand, she has a present.

Something Brown shines in her hand.

"Take this and dont lose it I will try to help you on your journey as much as possible but I won't always be able to protect you." for a second her form changed to a beautiful young women and then she disappeared

Before you get the chance to decide she disappears into the house. Somewhere iside you hear the voice of her and your master talking.

"You received no help this time?" your master asks.

"Of, course madam."

"Good because I know you remember what happened last time you received help from someone who didn't have the same job. You may leave now."

"Yes, madam." you hear footsteps as she slowly approaches you. She's frowning but when she see's you her face lights up, "Let's go find him now!" she says happily.

I blinked in surprise, had the old women been the illusion or the beautiful young one, I couldn't help but wonder. Carefully I ran my fingers over the stone, examining it, ears twitching as I listened for any sound that indicated someone was approaching the barn.

"OK!" I reply surprised that she didn't tell the master about me helping her. "
Whats your name again? I feel like i already asked but i'm not sure because i'm bad at remembering names"

As you looks at the book you reach your hand out and slightly touch the books, at the smallest contact the light goes out and the book drops to the ground. On the cover of the book is a symbol but you don't know what it stands for and inside the book is some kind of ancient language you can't understand.

Flip through the book for anything I understand

The stone lit up and suddenly all you can hear is the sound of a soft sweet symphony playing. Chunks of dirt and mud fly up from the ground and swirl around you.

"Oh! That's right I never introduced myself." her eyes wide, "I'm Lin. What's your name?" she asks.

The only words you can make out are the titles of each chapter but even some of them are undesipherable.
One chapter is titled Bloods Reincarnation, another is Red Death, you also read one called Blood Rain.

Without fully realizing it, I began to sing, harmonizing with the music. In the back of my mind, I knew what type of magic this was: Earth.
