Miles went to open his mouth before she pulled him inside the building. There was a lot of noise in the building but with each bark he felt more at home. The wolf in him calmed as he listened to what all the dogs were saying. It was almost relaxing, save for the fact that there was yet another human he had to speak to now. She was an older lady, and sweet by the sound of her voice. "Nice to meet you ma'am." He said quietly. "I heard you had a job opening, I don't have much experience at this sort of work but I promise you that I'm a fast learner." His hands shook as he spoke though his face lied and told her that he was confident about himself.

Miranda smiled and motioned him over " What job would you like sweety we have two open. Has Luna told you what they were?" Luna nodded "yep!" She replied squeezing his shaking hand.

"I'd like to work along side Luna, if I could ma'am." Miles said as he stood where she motioned. 'Should I tell them I can't write? Maybe it wasn't a good idea to leave home so soon.' he thought as he waited.

Miranda slowly handed him the papers "that's great honey." She said smiling "just sign here and we can getcha off to work."

Miles nodded slowly and took the pen in his hand. His fingers were quivering and it was not helping either that he could barely hold it in the first place. 'Just do as we practiced, make a M that do a squiggly line.' He thought as he put the pen to the paper. The M looked prefect even through the shaking and the line that followed told a perfect lie over him not being able to write or read for that matter. "There you go ma'am." He said handing back the pen.

Miranda took the pen back and read the papers "Well seems like you're all filled out sweety." She turned to Luna "Now go fill out you attendance sheet and show him what's to be done." Luna nodded and smiled "yes ma'am." She started to pull Miles in the right direction. "And don't get into too much trouble you two lovebirds!" She said winking at them "We won't!" Luna called back blushing a little " sorry about that." She whispered to Miles "I'm pretty sure she's a physicic, she always seems to know everything."

"I'm sure she doesn't know everything." Miles said following Luna. He looked to the door that lead to the back, longing to go and be with the dogs. "So what's first?"

"we need to get all the dogs into the running area so that we can clean their stalls, give them more food, and more water." Luna said as she opened the doors into the chaos of barking, yipping and panting. She relaxed feeling strangely at home. Luna whirled around looking in Miles's eyes "You ready?" she asked happily.

Miles nodded happy. He went around looking into each of the stalls, letting the dogs as he went. "It almost makes you want to adopt one of them does it not?"
