"Vincent, he was murdered," Kini responded, "I guess you didn't know I'm also Mama Winter's son. The only reason I ask is because I'm worried that she's doing something underhanded to get revenge. I want father's murderer brought to justice not killed because of a vendetta."




"I was just curious. Did she seem happy," Selkie asks.

Kaladin looked thoughtful. "...I'm not sure. She seemed happy, yes, but knowing her... I wonder if she was just putting on a smile for everyone else's sake." He looked over at Selkie. "You would have been able to tell, though, I'm sure."

"...Yes. That seemed to be what she was most concerned that I knew." Sakura responded.

Zero twitched his tail as he walked down the crowded streets, comfortably enshourded in an illusion. He paused, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Sarah was still nearby.

Sarah follows close by Zero, "Remind me who we're looking for again."


Kini nods once, "It makes sense she was probably trying to get information from you. That makes me wonder though if she has someone else looking for the murderer."


Selkie's ears flatten against his head as Selkie looks away with a sad look on his face, "So she wasn't happy. That makes sense since it was an arranged marriage. What else do you remember if you don't mind my asking?"

"Most certianally,:" Sakura agreed.

"A Mister Oh. He formerly ran the newspaper publisher in Press Garden." Zero said. "Accused of the murder of Mrs. Winter's husband. His trail's long gone cold, so this will be difficult, but I have a feeling that finding another willing hire will be more difficult at the moment."

Kal frowned slightly. "It was such a long time ago..." He sighed. "...Are you asking if I noticed anything bad or unusual? I didn't fully understand your wedding cuatoms, keep in mind..."

"Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't trust her," Kini responds.


Sarah nods once, "You said Oh right? I think I might know where he is. Have you ever heard of a place called the Stubborn Storm? It's a bar where a few friends and I would hang out once in a while, when things were calm. His name was mentioned once or twice. We might be able to find more information there."


"I know that. I just want to know if she was happy since I wasn't there. I still love her you know and I only want her to be happy," Selkie answers, he hesitates before telling Kaladin the next part, "Do you know why I wasn't there?"

Kaladin glanced over at Selkie. "I'd assumed you got caught in a storm on the way. Again," He frowned, catching on quickly. "...But... that wasn't the case, was it?"

Zero shook his head. "Show me."

"It's not far from here," Sarah responded walking through an alley and letting out a whistle consisting of three downward notes. A gate opens up inviting them underground. Sarah walks down the flights of steps towards a bar looking like it had been through better days. Opening the door for Zero she whispers, "Keep hidden these people are untrustworthy."


"No Kaladin. I was banished from her kingdom a few weeks before the wedding was announced. Starlight was afraid she wouldn't be able to go through with it if she saw me there. Besides if you remember the ship was in port at the time. I may have been avoiding being on it at the time though," Selkie answers, "I can't say I blame her after all she practically lived a gilded cage while I was free."

"I'm quite good at that," Zero half-joked.

Kaladin frowned, placing a hand on Selkie's shoulder. "I-- I'm so sorry... I know how close you two were, I didn't think--"

Selkie smiles sadly, That's why I want to find her now. To see how she is and to ask if she still doesn't want to see me. I'll respect whatever she wants.


Sarah smiles, "I know you are."
She pushes open the door only to hear a glass shatter.
"Well, I'll be, Nox here you were reported dead," A spaniel greets her, "Pull up a stool, your friend too. Another round here please."
The bartender slides a cup of tea over to him.
"Thank you, Artie," Sarah smiles sitting next to him, "I'm working though so this'll have to be fast. Do you know where Masashi Oh is?"
Artie sighs, "Why is it you never come here to exchange pleasantries? I'll ask around but don't hold your breath he's been off the radar for a while. Last time he was here was three years ago."
"Can you track his movements from there," Sarah asks.
"What's in it for me," Artie asks.
"I don't kill you on the spot," Sarah responds happily.
Nervously Artie puts down his tea lowering his voice, "Alright, alright no need for threats. Rumor has it that Oh's on the move. Your best bet would be to find Night. Then again it depends on what you're willing to pay. That or risk everything by asking a Wolf Hunter."
Sarah gets up without a word before her shoulder is grabbed by Artie who coughs slightly.
Sarah slips a couple of rings out of her pocket handing them to him.
"Keep the rings I want Hagin."
"That I can do," Sarah grabs a piece of paper and writes down all the know places Hagin and the guild has been, "I even included Regnor and my other former partner, should get you quiet the payday."
"Pleasure doing business Nox."

"Oh, Selkie..." Kaladin sighed, pulling him into a quick hug. "...Alright. We'll go find her then."

Zero folded his ears back. "Why do we seem to keep running into Night...?" He growled softly.
