Saras parried tthe fiery blade, and returned with a precise autocannon shot, slamming into the side of the collar. Saras hoped the depleted uranium core could at least short out the collar, if not knock it off.
(Depleted uranium is the hardest metal known to man.)

(Tungsten, actually. Depleted uranium is just a better piercer since it doesn't lose its shape or anything shot at high speeds.. That in itself presents the problem..)

The shot pierced the collar alright, along with the throat of the fiery soldier itself.. He fell forward, sputtering smoke and gripping at his bleeding throat. The flames went dead as he began to bleed out.

The other experiment beside him seemed to have just as much luck, gripping at the whip sword with a hand while he struggled to mantain grip on his own sword. Zeth's precise movements made it hard for him to try to spin around as the sword moved with her.

(It was more glanving than piercing. It was well off to the side so it wouldn't kill the soldier.)

Zeth

She couldn't feel her hands...She couldn't move her hands either.

Zeth began to fall off of the icy figure's back, unable to stay on much longer. She did her very best to kick the sword from his grasp, wanting him to be unarmed when she fell.

When she hit the ground, her blade hit with her. Her hands were to frozen to use, so she couldn't grab a new weapon. Hopefully Saras would help her out if the Experiment decided to try it's luck with her.

(I'm sorry to do this, but..

Coming from someone who has dealt firsthand with ballistics and a type of depleted uranium rounds (though much, much larger than anything meant to fit in a handgun..)
Let me make some assumptions because I can't exactly calculate the angle of the shot or the caliber of the bullet since this is a fantasy, high tech universe.

For one, there is still shards to deal with from the material it would pass through and trajectory of the shot itself.
So with any sort of armor piercing round, it is going to displace the material it passes through, hitting the side of a material (you'll see why in a sec) is going to alter its flight path in the air considering it has the speed of a cannon behind it, essentially.

No round is entirely accurate and when you get into larger armor piercing rounds, there is the shape of them to consider because most of them are fairly large (ie not meant to be fired out of standard, handheld weapon large) and straight pointed, not tapered.
And that cap to the round breaks off when it hits something and the energy of the shot itself is going to transfer into the material it hits and cause the material to break apart and cause the 'piercing' (again this varies by type of round). They don't function like normal bullets.

My assumption for this has been that
1. It was fired at a very high speed and wouldn't just stop at hitting a softer material because of the hardness factor of the depleted uranium itself. (Unless it's hollow point, but most DU rounds aren't)
2. The cap would hit something vital being that close to someone's neck (these collars are close fitted, not anything large) considering the likely size of the round.
And 3. It's impossible to be that dead accurate on a moving target with an automatic weapon.
And 4. We're not recruiting more Exterminators smh)

The experiment Zeth had grounded tried to keep grip on his sword, to no avail as it clattered across the tile floor. He went for it again after getting his breath and bearings back, intending to go for her again.

Basically we're in the fortress where Umbra is.
Scias and Sereya shot down some guards at the entrance to get everyone in, and two human experiments started fighting Saras and Zeth. Saras killed one of them trying to get a collar off his neck and the other one is trying to rearm and get Zeth again.
I believe Traqil picked Hexic and Corasi up to get them to safety during all this.)

Saras turned, and lunged ahead, stamping on the sword's blade, extending his own blade toward the icy fighter.

She was able to stand, so she was able to attack. Zeth was curious as for who the two expirements were working for. She ran to the icy beig and jumped on him again with all her force. She was hoping to knock it down, and prayed that she was heavy enough to hold it down with her weight.
"Saras, help me hold it!" She demanded

Traqil

He placed Hexic and Corasi back on the ground. "Arm yourselves, its getting messy I won't let you get hurt, but you need to be ready to defend yourselves."
