Lycan growls back at it through the mouthful of fur. Though he tries not to harm the creature he is curious about what it is and why it attacked. He tries to speak through the fur in a wolf's language, "Who are you? What are you? Why did you attack us?"

The creature clearly doesn't understand him, continuing to thrash and struggle underneath him. He can smell magic coming from it, but it either can't use it or doesn't know how to.

Lycan tries to hold the creature just trying to keep it pinned until it calms down.

It takes several long minutes. But, it eventually exhausts itself, and stops struggling.

Carefully Lycan releases the creature and backs up some, staying close enough to attack again if necessary.

It glares at him, getting back to its feet. Something about it seems oddly familiar.

Again Lycan tries to speak with the creature, "Who are you? Why attack me?"

It still doesn't speak. It stares at him quietly, its gaze intense.

Lycan matches the gaze trying to find out an answer.

It growls at him again, and takes a step back. It flicks one ear, staring intensely at him.
