No, not in this case. It's definitely not ideal for an arial not used to it, but it's not dangerous. It wouldn't even be an issue if he could break it.

He faintly hears noise outside the room. Probably a satyr- he did see that they aren't affected by the ice.

Yes, he did. But it sounds too heavy to be a satyr. There's definite hooves, but they're louder than the white satyrs he's seen.
