Lycan tries to set Pam in the tree before jumping back down and charging at the pursuing creature.

The creature is canine, but doesn't look like any dog, wolf, or similar creature he's ever seen. It looks like some sort of weird cross between a jackal and a maned wolf. It's scrawny and lithe, with legs that seem too long for the creature they prop up. It has short, black fur, and large cat-like ears. It snarls at him as he approaches, a feral glint in its eyes.

Lycan snarls back at the creature using his body language to try to warn the creature if it got closer, Lycan would not hesitate to attack with all of his power.

The creature growls, its hackles raised and its teeth bared.

Lycan growls back trying to make himself look as vicious and dangerous as possible. He won't move until the creature backs off or attacks.

The creature lunges at him with a snarl.

Lycan tries to meet the creature head on with his own fangs.

It crashes into him. Unlike Lycan, it doesn't appear to have the intelligence of anything higher than an animal. So, it's far more wild with its attacks, seemingly with no plan or real reason.

Lycan tries to bite the creature and pin it down so as to avoid harming it if possible. If that doesn't work he will attempt to wound the creature enough to at least slow it down significantly.

Though it's far bigger and more agile than him, he's far stronger than it. Albeit with quite a bit of trouble, he's able to pin it down without wounding it severely, though it does still get harmed in the struggle to do so. It grows at him, struggling restlessly and trying to bite him. It's acting almost rabid, though it's clearly not sick with anything.
