"Who are you?" DarkSpark asks warily, trying to catch his scent to determine what Clan he is from, if any Clan at all.

"Crouch like this," He instructs, demonstrating. "Use your tail for balance and don't lean too far forward."

"Oh me, I am Shadowheart," he said smoothly, he belonged to no clans and had the scent of mouse on him.
"I mean no harm, I just no what it feels like... to be left out," he showed him his wings, one which was shredded "this is what they do.... to half breeds like me."

Silverkit tried to copy his position but leaned to much forward and falling into the water. Swimming back to the surface she swam over to him "I don't think I did it right."

Mossfeather sat in her den"I will be back"and with that she walk out of camp and to the spot she was with birdpaw she had cover her sent with foxdung she hid in the bush waiting for him

Birdpaw walked to the spot they where supposed to meet, he was earlier then he was meant to meet and shifted nervously as he sat down, waiting for Mossfeather.
(I know, he does not)

"Oh. Still doesn't explain what you're doing by the FireClan-WaterClan border. Doubt it's safe for you around these parts. I'm DarkSpark. Sorry for snapping at you. I gotta prove myself to my Clan. Ya know, keep out intruders and bring back a load of prey whenever possible. Maybe then they'll see me. Maybe then I won't go unnoticed." He isn't sure why he is venting to this stranger, but something about it makes him feel a bit better.

"Try again," StormSong purrs. "Try stepping a bit farther back this time. Remember, I've had my whole life to master this. You're doing well."

Mossfeather slipped out"Birdpaw"she purred

"I go where I please, but I will leave if you wish me to," he said watching him carefully, like he was studying him "I know what it feels like to work hard but to get no attention while cats that are not as good as you get better positions, more attention. Do you know what I mean?"

Silverkit tried again, careful this time not to fall in the water, she looked up at Stormsong "how is this?"

Birdpaw turned and smiled his eyes filling with joy "Mossfeather," he purred padding over to her, happier then he had ever been.

She licked him on the ear

DarkSpark nods quickly. "Yes, yes I know exactly what you mean."

"Good. Now, this is the hard part. When you see a fish come close enough, you want to reach out quickly and scoop it out of the water with your claws." StormSong demonstrates by swiping at the water, barely making a splash. He isn't aimed for a fish, just demonstrating.

Birdpaw smiled and licked her head with gently, fast licks.
"I love you," he said a little timidly.

Shadowheart smiled thoughtfully "why should they treat us like that. I myself am a half blood, I have wings and can breathe fire just like you. Instead of punishing my parents for there crime I got punished, my wing shredded, before they threw me out. Why should they punish me... and ignore you just because of how we are."

Silverkit watched the water, memerized by it's swirling surface. She spotted a fish and flicked her paw at it and jerked her paw up. The fish went flying upwards and landed on Stormsong's head before flapping it's tail and falling back in the water.
"Woops," Silverkit said slowly "sorry, are you okay?"
