"Your on," She barked excitedly racing into the forest. She sniffed the air, picking up the smell of squirrel and deer, but not rabbit. She looked around, not wanting to use her powers.

Eclipse slunk over to an open field, testing the air. No sign of any life... Huh, that was strange. Usually the whole islands were abundant with so much life it nearly killed you. All the scents were weeks old, maybe months old. Wanting to be the first one, Eclipse flew to a different spot, only to find the same thing there. The next spot was the same.
Eclipse whirled around in surprise. Maybe the curse of death...was leaking through the island slowly. A sense of responsibility came over him, and Eclipse charged towards where he had last seen his mate so he could warn her.
"Owl!"

Owl looked around confused, all the scents where days old. She heard something in the distance but could not locate where it was coming from.

Eclipse swerved, avoiding a tree yet again. He heard a reply. "Owl!" He tested the air, and continued.

Owl used life sense and sensed him. She flew over to him.
"Hey," She called landing in front of him.

Eclipse swung his head around, looking for any sign of life. "Um, here and right now, this place seems to have been devoid of life for about a month. Ah! A Jackrabbit!" He pointed with his tail to a fallen bunny's head with antlers on it...buuuut it was just a head, and rotting too. Eclipse shuddered. "Uh, whoops. False alarm..."
