(Ivy, you are too good at guessing which animals I like xD First griffins and now a bear too...)
It moved it's head side to side and looking around, sniffing.
Recognizing the shape of a bear, I freeze, trying not to aggravate it. However, I still wait for it to do something other than sniff.

You see a whole herd in a clearing nearby.
"There is more of you?" Melody said with awe. He stared at the herd before remembering what he had to do. He looks at the position of the sun before siting back down to look at the herd again.

You were hiding on the rocks under a ledge, you can barely see anything in the cave as it was so dark, only lit up by fireflies.
