Kurt let out a slow breath. He needed to talk about this sooner or later right? He lifted his hand turning her chin to face him. "Fiance... I had a fiance." He said emphasizing the had. He closed his eyes letting go of Katherine's chin and arm turning away. "Her name was Sarah." He said smiling a little to himself. "I was just... dreaming about her being back and you reminded me of her..." He said chuckling a little trying not to cry. "She'd always wake me up like that." he said his jaw hardening as he felt the tears well up.

Katherine's heart sank. "I-I'm sorry i...i didn't mean..." she trails off, wishing she hadn't asked. She slowly reached out taking his hand, trying to comfort him. She walks in front of him to look up into his eyes, she could tell how sad he was. "Kurt?" she says quietly.

Kurt looked at her his expression blank as he clears his throat. "Yes?" He said his voice cracking and he clears his throat again. "Yes Katherine?" He asked squeezing her hand a little trying to smile.

Katherine smiles a little "I-I'm sorry, i shouldn't have asked...it was just..." she trails off, not able to say it. She liked him, but that wouldn't be ok, he still loved his fiance even though she wasn't here. It made her feel even worse as she thought about it. She looks at him, lost in thought, feeling bad about making him remember. She squeezes his hand gently.

Kurt shook his head. "No. I'm sorry I put you in this position." He said smiling half heartedly. "Would you like to pretend this didn't happen?" He asked her gently running his knuckle down her face.

Katherine closed her eyes as she felt his knuckle go down her face. Nodding yes to him, she opened her eyes to look directly into his vivid blue ones. She stares, leaning into his hand on her face, her skin burning at his touch, loving the feeling of it. Her mind screaming at her for feeling this way about him.

Kurt smiled and backs up a little putting his hands in the hoodie's pockets. "Thanks for making me breakfast, I wish you didn't go through all the trouble to do it though." He said smiling at her deep blue eyes. What was he doing? Was he ready to let go of Sarah and..? And what? What was he even thinking?

Katherine's smiles fades as he backs up, taking his hand away. What am i thinking? she thinks to herself as she thinks about him more. She smiles, looking down as she played with her bracelet. She felt bad about having him come here in the rain still. "No, no i-i'm the one who had you come here in the rain a-and stay here" she says quietly, stuttering a little from being nervous. Stop that! she scolds herself, but couldn't help it. Her eyes look up into his again, loving the vivid blue eyes, still playing with her bracelet nervously.

Kurt shook his head smiling at her. "No. I stubbornly came in and made a mess and you cleaned it up.... AND you still let me stay the night." He said his smile genuine. He walked back into the room and picked up the tray of food. "Do you have a table? I don't want to spill anything on the bed and this smells great." He said smiling as he watched her play with her bracelet.

Katherine smiled, shaking her head deciding not to argue. "Yeah...it's out in the kitchen." she said quietly as she played with her bracelet still. She blushed a little as she smiled again, looking up at him. "F-Follow me" she says walking towards the kitchen although the apartment wasn't very big.
