Amber, although still in horrible pain, smiled partially when she saw the man who had kidnapped her sit on the floor holding his crotch. She took a deep death and winced again when she felt a sharp stab where her rib cage was. Great. Now I broke my healing rib cage again. Amber slowly reached up to her mouth and tried again to rip out the gag. She was so agitated this time that she used all her strength and was able to actually rip it out. Amber sat up and groaned, clutching her left rib cage. Toughing it up, she started screaming at the man. "How dare you kidnap me! I don't even know you and you call me your sister! Humph! Velvet will come for me I promise you that. No matter if the Overseer removes all of my family's titles, they will never stop looking for me until they have found me and killed you! Even if you are my brother," she spat, "I will never think of you that way! I will always think of you as the big j*rk that kidnapped me and took me away from my family and best friend! I will NEVER forgive you!!!" Clenching her teeth against the pain now, she waited for a response impatiently.

"Shut up, girl. It's not gonna do you any good. No one knows this place. No one. Not even the overseers. And you really think Eric and Father want you? Maybe Mother does." He said simply. "And your best friend I bet is having a talk with the overseers right now. She might be in trouble. Who knows?"

"Don't you tell me to shut up! And they will search every place on the planet for me until they find me! I know that!" Amber shouted, crossing her arms over her chest and cursing when the bands got in the way of crossing her arms. Ducking her head, she chewed on the makeshift handcuffs until they broke off. Rubbing her wrists, she crossed her arms and jutted out her chin, daring the man to challenge her with her eyes that were flaring with hatred.

"Girl, if they ever find this place they'll never get in." He said. Ugh. Since when was Amber so talkative? And did she just break the rope that was tying her hands? Oh drat. Good thing Amber didn't have her sword. "And I know the only way out. This is the most complicated maze created." He explained. "More than 1k feet underground. Traps, everywhere."

(Amber sleeps with her sword around her waist, hidden under her nightgown.)

"For goodness sake stop calling me 'Girl'! And they will find this place eventually if it takes the rest of their lives!" Amber said loudly, her voice growing just a teensy bit raspy. I'd better stop yelling before I lose my voice.. "Oh and by the way, Velvet has unnatural senses. She can fi....... Oops. That's a secret that will not be given away by me." She said, cursing herself for almost telling him Velvet's secret. She can find me anywhere in the world. She has unnatural tracking senses and all she has to do is follow a scent from my clothes. Amber finished her phrase in her head. Turning on her left side, careful not to let her sword clang on the hard bed, her eyes bore into the man's eyes, daring him yet again to challenge her.

(How did she get a sword into the operation room?! O.O))

"Well, Amber, unnatural senses don't always work." He said. He was just trying to lower her confidence. "And I want to tell you that weapones are technology...technology can fail. You know that, right?" He asked.

(Secret. Only her and Velvet know)

"Ha. Right." Amber said, dignity showing in every ounce of her voice. "I know what you're trying to do, and it's not going to work. And technically, Velvet isn't even fully technology! She is closer to human than Weaponses in most things. She has feelings, she sleeps sometimes, she eats, and there's more. But you don't need to know any of this. Now I really must be going." Amber got out of the bed and walked out of the room, towards the staircase. Wincing with every step but striding on, she went as fast as you possibly can up the stairs when you have a broken rib cage that was healing after being broken the day before.

Arvian almost smiled. "Gonna take you a long time to find your way out." He offered. "I hope you can see in the dark well." He added. Oh yes, it was extremely dark in there. He himself had almost gotten lost, if it weren't for the map he found and Kate. He had the map in his pocket. He wondered how Kate was doing...

"Humph. That's your loss if I die. You won't have any bait for Eric and father to come find me and then you won't be able to kill them!" Amber shouted down the staircase. Making her way up still, she was about 1/8th of the way up she supposed. No traps yet. Jogging up now, she came up to a spot that had rocks. She picked up a handful and every 20 ft or so, threw one down to see if there were any traps. Every time she threw one and nothing happened, she would pick the rock back up and keep going. She made a lot of turns and finally had to sit down. She had no food or water, so she had to hurry. Standing up again, she walked double time and a little while after, came upon a trap. Arrows shot past her, and she whipped her sword out and blocked each of them, making them fall to the ground. One of them had gotten past her sword however and had lodged itself in her left arm. Good thing I use my right arm to swordfight she thought. Walking on, a bit more cautious now, she went on and turned another 17 times before coming upon another trap. This time it was a motion sensor bomb. She threw a rock, and it exploded in midair. Throwing another few, they all exploded until she threw one and it didn't explode. Walking on, she could see sunlight coming from somewhere above her and sprinted now, stopping only every 20 ft to throw a rock. She didn't come upon any more traps, of which she was lucky because she was sure there were plenty down there. Coming out into open daylight, she shivered. She didn't know this place. There was a small food and drink stand nearby though. She could smell it. Tripping over her own feet in exhaustion, she made it to the stand and asked for some food and water. When the person asked for payment, Amber lifted her head and explained to the woman who she was, making the woman apologize and ask what happened. After explaining, Amber asked the woman for a pair of clothes and when she was dressed and refreshed, she collapsed on a bed the woman let her borrow and fell fast asleep.
