Frisk smiled and nodded.

"Anyways, what do you wanna do today?" Warren asked.

Frisk shrugged. *you?*

"We could climb your mountian, or have lunch by the lake, or wander the woods, or go to my place and play with Beowulf, or whatever. I don't have any plans." Warren threw a couple ideas out there.

(Beowulf is his dog. Yes, that name is a pun.)

(Also, to give you some perspective, young birds that are old enough to have their eyes open but lack feathers need to be fed every five hours or so, just to give you a time window. Assuming Mistral ate right before the hawk snagged it, Frisk probably has about three hours by this point.)

Frisk nodded. *i got something to show you, ok?*

Warren shrugged. "Sure! Just lemme finish up real quick; I have to finish splitting a couple more logs and then I'm free for the rest of the day,"

Frisk smiled. *can I help?*

"Yeah, sure. I'll show ya how to use my hatchet, it'll be fun!" Warren said with a smile. "Right over here, okay?"

Frisk smiled, nodded, and walked over.

Warren strolled over to his stack of wood and set one of the logs on a flat tree stump.

"Okay, so, watch. You wanna stand about three feet back, so if you miss you won't get the blade stuck in your leg." He said, passing Frisk some eye protection and picking up his hatchet.

"You're gonna hold it like so, right hand over left. Then when you bring it up, and then stright down with one strong stroke--!" Warren brought down the hatchet, effectively splitting the log in half.

"And there you go! Don't worry if you don't get it at first; it takes some getting used to... Here. Your turn." He chimed, passing the hatchet to Frisk with a smile. "Just do your best."
