lol my vampires are modernized, in a way xD I mean I still fall hard for the lusty vampire tropes xD I've never written it (the closest I've got is just Cypress' usual dominance tbh) but the scenes are gorgeous...

But yes, garlic is stupid. I don't mind the fangs. The blood thing is stupid though, fangs are impractical as hell anyways. If they need blood, they can just source it from somewhere. Needing to hunt someone down is just a way to end up dead.
The concept of vampire lords is cool to me too (though I believe that is a modern invention.)

I've never written a seductive vampire and have little interest tbh (but I have written a succubus and incubi before that were a lot of fun despite being way out of my normal realm of writing), but I do in a way like the idea of a Castlevania type vampire that has that sort of powerful, regal presence about them. Gay vampires are also cool.
The sunlight thing is a thing I counteract with clothing choices or magic.
Makes things more interesting for me when I have to come up with creative ***pulls to keep my characters alive.

What I do remember of what I wrote of my vampire Alice is that she was a magic scholar. She could use holy and fire magic but it always hurt her when she tried to so she hated those.
During the day, I'd always just keep her in the shade or making it with dark magic if she wasn't just wearing hooded robes or only going out at night.

No your right xD I've also tried to avoid those types of situations, I mean, it doesn't have to be glorified-- or i don't think it should be, after all, if you have to consume meat, and do so on a basis, it shouldnt be more glorified than eating a salad xD

I just don't particularly care for writing gore in depth

Like blood and death is fine to me but having to write people get disemboweled is rough for me without wanting to gag a little.

1. how are they gonna keep their rebellion a secret from the gods if the gods are in their heads? Maybe the gods can only hear the thoughts and cant see through their eyes? Maybe when they manifest in spirit form to their messengers (under certain conditions, like Umbris at night, or Verasil through a fire) they can only see the messenger and nothing else? Idk just suggestions

and 2. I was thinking abt/ plot while working, how does Cypress traveling with Soterra sound? Maybe they pass through Ruskar into Rostar? I was thinking about how to get Wendall, Lyos, and Casey in eventually, and it would make sense if:

Cypress gets Soterra out of Helihe and into Ruskar (because he can't enter into enemy lands through Helihe's border). In Ruskar they meet Casey and Wendall. Casey would be--mmm well I mentioned Cypress' had patrolled the Rostar border at some point when he was younger. So maybe he ran into Casey there? And Adrue is just off the coast of Ruskar so it wouldn't be too far fetched to have Wendall and Casey together.

Then in Rostar they find Lyos.

This is overtime ofc xD And i--- I dunno how your going to fit Lux in there but your welcome too. I know you don't know who Casey and Lyos are but *shrugs* I'll explain when we get there, but they are both human, not servants/messengers. Casey has powers, Lyos doesn't.

My....writing style is a bit sloppy and I always try to fit too many actions into one scene/character, so honestly to keep the ball rolling I'm going to have to add another character to write soon, so I'm not forcing so much on one character. You get what I mean? Otherwise it gets kind of disjointed and repetitive.

I've got a guild battle to attend in another game at 10pm, roughly and hour for me, so expect to see that reply uhhh-- 10:30 at the latest since I'll work on most of it before 10.

1. The gods can't always hear their thoughts. It's done actively that they "peek" through someone.
Umbris probably does it more than most so he'd be sort of an obstacle to get around.

2. Figured they'd get stuck together anyways.
Lux is easy. He's a nomad and a bit of a zealot at that. They'll likely run into him along the way.

If I push Archon in, he might be harder to figure out but he's a character I want to revise in a lot of ways. Since he's a god character even too OP for god based rps.. I figure here he'd just be a demon or something. Not sure yet. He'd definitely be from the underground and a Messenger, but that's all I know.

But yeah this is why I like writing multiple characters together because it helps the flow a lot as far as removing the problem of never having anything to interact with (but maybe I'm biased since I prefer writing dialogue anyways)

(Don't start if you value your time. My gaming laptop is broken so outside of switch games this is all I have.
At least it runs super well on mobile but this game is hellishly grindy even for an mmo.

Hmmm the peeking thing is going to be hard to work around if we're talking about a few day travel, at the least. I suppose Umbris expects Soterra to travel anyway-- so as long as he doesn't see Cypress. Verasil is probably the type who completely forgets abt his messengers and then when he does talk to them its to rant abt other gods.

I've used the 3ds for internet before (also used to be super big into miiverse before it got the axe) and I have to say you have the absolute patience of a god for putting up with it.

I've also still been looking for my 3ds (for the New Leaf stuff) and have had no luck. I'm still in process of cleaning out storage here so I'm hoping it might turn up before the next century since I've been wanting to play Xenoblade (that I bought ages ago and never played) before the new one comes out on switch.

Umbris is not really a problem. If he caught onto Soterra plotting against him, he'd just welcome the challenge because he doesn't feel threatened by her.

In some ways I suspect he might be one of the first major guys we fight or one of the last, but either way he'd be super interested in just watching all of this go down.
