"What's it like, where you are from?" Kaladin asked.

"It's intresting to say the least. No two days are ever the same. We have to worry about pirates especially BLack Beard captain of the Skull. Repairing the ship often. The crew once saw a pod of dolphins and an octopus. What about here?" Selkie smiled.

"Life here is usually quite calm, skirmishes with the Nocturnus Clan aside. It's routine, simple, and we have free run of most of the island, save the west face of the mountain." Kaladin responed. "I also know a hawk that will come hunting with me on occassion."

"Is a hawk like a cormorant? And if you don't want to answer my questions you don't have to." Selkie looked at Kaladin.

Kaladin nodded. "Yes, but larger, stronger, and a sharper bill. They usually don't hunt by the sea like a cormorant would,"

"Huh sounds impresssive I've never seen a hawk. Have you ever even seen an eagle?"

"A few Crested Eagles, but they are rare," Kaladin replied. "I've only seen two, perhaps,"

"Wow that's more then I've ever seen. Another question how do you avoid a large snake that looks like it wants to eat you?" Selkie was looking at a snake in a tree just outside of the village.

(Digital high-five for knowing what a Cormorant is, by the way.)

Kaladin let out a light chuckle. "Unless their head is shaped like the tip of a spear, you do not need to worry; The snake has already eaten. If it is, keep your gaze and back away,"

"It's the same python." Selkie began to back away while keeping the gaze of the snake. The snake flicked it's tongue saying round three sea sail.
