Val smirked, "You just didn't want to keep running after me." she said.

"Its my word against yours," Sonic replied smoothly. Ghost rolled his eyes. Sure it is. Holter just huffed. "Right. So uh..."

Val then looked at Sonic seriously, "So what happened to the echidna?" she asked wanting to know.

Ghost and Sonic locked gazes for a split second, and Ghost nodded an affirmitave. He doesn't need to talk about it. It's a hard subject. The spirit said calmly. The sun's at apex. You guys should grab a bite to eat or something. Ghost wandered off to do his own thing.

Val sighed, "I'm going to find out eventually." she said trotting over to an apple tree, she jumped and snatched up an apple.

Holter walked over to join her. "'It's a hard subject'? What do you think that means?" He asked as he plucked an apple from the branch.

Sonic stood there a moment before going after Ghost. He found the spirit in a secret area of the island, an small grotto by a river. Sonic smiled; Ghost was in his true form at the moment. "You doing okay?"
Ghost's alert but collected gaze met Sonic's. "A bit cold and hungry, but aside from that normality, I'm fine," He replied, then glanced around. "The other two didn't follow you, did they?"
"Nope. They're eating."
"Good. I'm not worried about Holter, but Valory..."
"Is nosy?" Sonic suggested.
"For lack of a better word, yes," Ghost sighed. "Already asking questions..."
"Well, you know how Amy was at that age... And I asked the same questions."
"Ugh. Don't remind me." Ghost muttered, shifting into a wolf.

"Aw. I like your true form," Sonic frowned. "It's more you then the wolf or the hawk or the whatever else."
It's not like I can just strut up to them like that. You heard Val!
Sonic sighed. "Well, I guess. Hidden Palace at midnight, then?"
Ghost chuckled. Sure, hedgehog. Sure. I'm gonna go meet up with Shadow, then you know where to find me.

Sonic grinned and held out a fist. "Then I'll see you." Ghost nodded and touched* the back of his 'paw' to the hedgehog's knuckles. Then I'll see you.

(*I say touched, but since he's a spirit and Sonic isn't they would usually pass through eachother.)

Val took a bite from her apple, "I dunno, but one way or another I'm gonna find out." she said stubbornly.

Holter chuckled. "You're a go-getter, huh?"

(I think I'm gonna keep you in suspense....)

Val nodded, "Yep, I almost never take no for an answer, plus I am very stubborn and am not one to mess with." she said dangerously.

Holter blinked. "For what I heard, so is Sonic," He commented. "So you have a rough match, I guess,"
