Jason shook his head and hugged Ash,wings up and still shielding him from the rain. "No...I don't agree." He said softly,shaking both in his voice and his body. His body shaking from pain and the cold but also his voice due to the emotions that were trying to blossom in him yet others that were trying to beat them down out of new habit. "I'm sorry I can't understand how much you gave up. I've never had a home or family,a real family. I've never had a true place or world. The only thing I understand is losing family,only a little bit,because I met my family four years ago but half of them died and one's always at my throat now. The other two don't have to much love for me anymore,if I can even call it that,and they only treat me equal because it has to look good with the dragons so that they don't divide in this war.I'm sorry I've lived the way I have,and so I'm sorry I can't understand and be kinder about how much you gave up for me." He whispered softly to him.

Ash shook his head. "No, it's okay. I understand. Don't apologize. You should really go see a healer, though. Especially if you're not planning on making it through the night," he murmured in return

He smiled faintly at that,but only faintly. "I'd love to plan to make through the night but I think we both could just use a rest tonight,Foreskel will be there in the morning,she'll whip my tail for getting myself messy but~ what can one skeletal dragon do huh?" he said,trying to be playful. He wasn't sure he was doing a good job though.

He sighs and pulls away. "It kills me how your mind can make you feel so...worthless. I wish I could change that, but I doubt you would let me."

Jason let him pull away,not removing his wings from over the ice prince. "I don't mean to make you feel like that. But...I guess that's how I've felt for so long that...I guess that's how I make others feel without meaning to." He said softly,looking down.

"It's okay. We'll work on that," he said with a small smile.

He just nodded,his hands once again automatically reaching for his hood but again realized he didn't have it anymore. "Wanna just head to Lila's?" He said softly,still looking down with tired hazy purple eyes. He seemed to sway faintly,as if about to knock out but he stayed standing.

"You need to go to the healer, remember? You can't wait for them to come to you. You might not make it that long," he murmured, his voice solemn.

Jason for once looked at his hands and seemed to finally realize the bloodied cracks running through him. He seemed to realize just what he'd done to himself for something he couldn't control,for something that wasn't even his business and yet he'd done so much to help...and now he was paying for it. "I'll...." He seemed to give up on saying he'd be fine and sighed,closing his eyes. "If your willing to come I'll go tonight,it's a long walk and fairly tiring from the main portal to where I need to go. If you need tonight to rest we'll go to Lila's."

"I'm not the one that needs rest. And I'm willing to come, especially if it means you'll go tonight. But...before we go...I can't help but wonder if..." He paused, an internal debate showing itself on his expression. "If there was anything I could've said to stop the hurting? Or at least to make your heart beat better? I guess I didn't know about how much it hurt you once I left. Again."


(So I'm planning on just yeeting them into a random adventure...when do you think would be a good time for that?)
