After about an hour, the two had navigated their way further down the slope and were currently hidden amoung the trees. Sans didn't have much trouble keeping up, but he found it only further confirmed his suspicions that Frisk was not thrilled about this. After pondering a moment, he stopped and leaned up against a tree. "kid."

Frisk turned to him, and asked softly, *yeah?*

"let's take a break, alright?" He suggested, not waiting for an answer before sitting down on the ground.

Frisk nodded and flopped onto the ground.

The two sat in silence for a while, accompanied by the wind and by birdsong.
"...you know," Sans reamarked after a moment, vaguely motioning at the sky. "i just imagined a higher ceiling."

She smiled nervously.

"but instead," Sans went on, just trying to break the ice a little. "i get blue up-ness. i bet it looks better at night, though."

Frisk smiled a bit more, still nervous.

"hey, maybe i could tell you some stuff i read tonight if ya want." Sans offered.
