As Sonic got closer Val grinned, when he was in arms reach she did a flip over his head and landed easily on a branch.

"Heh," The cabot blue hedgehog scoffed. He continued running and, thanks to his momentum, shot up a nearby tree trunk and kicked off, preforming a flip over Val and tapping her behind the ear. "You're it," He said casually as he landed.

Val lunged at the hedgehog before he could do anything, she poked the top of his head and landed and skated back to the stream.

Sonic gave her five seconds before he made chase, doubling the speed he was running at earlier. His ears flattened, he quickly passed the fox. He made a sharp u-turn, elbowed her lightly, and continued running. "HA!"

Val huffed and leaned against a tree, she was going to trick the hedgehog.

Sonic glanced over his shoulder and frowned. "Aw, that's no fun," He muttered to nobody in particular. He slowed to a stop and returned to Val. "Need a break?" He asked.

Val shot Sonic a grin, she slapped his arm before dashing off and into the stream.

Sonic stood there a moment, stunned. "...why...!! She's got moxie!" He exclaimed to himself. He laughed aloud before making chase again.

Time-Skip to end of tag

Val panted from playing tag with the speedy hedgehog.

Sonic tapped his foot and tugged at his scarf. "I'll be nice and call it a draw, okay?"

Just then, Holter trotted up to the two, Ghost right behind him in the form of a hawk. "'Be right back', huh?" The wolf said, mildly annoyed.

Sonic chuckled. "Whoops. Sorry 'bout that, kid. Me and Val here were just having a good time, that's all," He smiled at Val. "Isn't that right?"
