She said, with that thought in her head.
Fine, Ill bite. Ill eat something if you insist. Question, should I leave my cig outside? Dunno if its ok to smoke inside.
She said, a bit sheepishly. She held her smoke in two fingers.

"It doesn't really matter, it's not like I haven't seen a cigarette before." The man smiled digging through his pack. "All I have is mystery cans, here."

Heh... they might be addictive to other people, but the only reason I like them, is that they keep me calm, and from lashing out.
She pulled one out and held it out to Adam.
So... what did you do, ya know, before everything?

He took the cigarette holding it out for her to light. "Me? I was a dog catcher for the city. I was that one person that caught all the strays and put them in the pound. But I also worked at Walmart on the weekends."

Crystal walked closer, and held out her pointer finger. A small flame sprouted from the tip. Using it like a lighter, Crystal lit the cigarette. She stepped back, and clenched her and into a fist, quenching the flame.

Interesting. I take it you dont like dogs much do you.
She said, narrowing her eyes. That statement seemed like a lie, since he smelled almost like a large... dog?

"No I love dogs, I helped make sure they all either found their homes or went to goo homes. In fact for the first time we had an empty pound." Adam answered taking a puff on the cigarette. He hadn't really smoked before, and after this he didn't think ever would again. "I was never able to get my own dog though...."

Mmmmm... Thas cool.
She mumbled quietly.
Crystal leaned back against the metal container. She craned her head back, and looked at the sky. Her eyes widened and her pupils dialated as she saw that the sun was going down. A raindrop landed on her nose, making her flinch in surprise. Crystal stood up straight quickly, and looked around at the woods. It was getting darker and darker by the minute. First, she shivered because of the cold, then again, because of her extreme fear of the dark. Her hands shook, causing her smoke to fall from her hands and put itself out, on the ground. She hugged her sides, fingering at the holes in the tank top, that the fire had made.

"Dang it..guess you need to stay the night then." Adam said putting the smoke out. With that he stood and got the flashlight out to the container. "Is something wrong?"

Crystal trembled.
Its just... Im a little... it get so dark so fast...
She answered quietly.
A darkseeker popped out of the bushes, suddenly. Crystal squeeked, and a dozen purple knives swiftly hit it, and slammed it into a tree. It was dead, but the knives had pinned it to the tree, through its chest and head. All this happened as a blur. Crystal crouched down, and put her hands over her head. She was shaking now.

Crystal whispered under her breath.

"Hey hey, it's alright." Adam said carefully placing a hand on her shoulders. "Here, you can carry the light. Once we are inside it won't look so bad alright?" He said offering her the flashlight. She couldn't see it but he was smiling lightly under the mask.
