"Uh, no, clearly you haven't. Look, if Mama Winter's supposed attack hinged on you not being here, and we know she had eyes on you for a few days now, she woulda attacked while you were in the hospital, right?" Joe went on. "But she didn't. Besides, If they do attack, you gotta be in tip-top shape to fight anyway, 'cause you arn't gonna drive of anybody limping around, capiche?"

Kini huffs, "Fine I'll take it easier but I am going to work still. Besides I need something to get my mine off of Neva leaving."

Joe pulled out his phone. "Alright, I'll ring her up..."

"No no no wait please Joe!"

Neva answers, "Something wrong?"

Kini glares at Joe.

"Hey Neva! Naw, nothing's wrong, just wanted to check in, what's up?" Joe asked, eyeing Kini with a neuteral expression.

"Not much just unpacking. What about you," Neva asks, "and is Kini the one who said 'No no no, wait Joe!' if so tell him I heard."
"I heard."

"He heard." Joe chuckled. "He said he missed you right before I called so I thought now would be a good time to introduce him to another handy phone function..." He spoke.

"The comm does the same thing and he's commed me multiple times since I left," Neva chuckles, "so how are you both?"

"No, no, not calling," Joe said. "I mean video chats. Those ancient things don't do that, am I right?" He chuckled, propping his phone up against his coffee mug and switching over. "And I'm doing just fine, thank you. Just had a late night. A journalist's job is never done, you know?"
