Joe pressed his ears back. "Well. That's not creepy at all."

"I don't like it either," Kini shivers again, "may I take a seat please my leg's throbbing."

"Yeah, sure." Joe replied, hopping off his chair. "Here, you have a seat there, I'll get another one." He added before jogging off.

Kini sat in the seat trying to avoid showing how much pain he was in.
Komodo grabs another chair and hands him an ice pack, "Put your leg up."
Kini does so putting the ice pack on his injured leg.

Joe promptly returned, dragging in a couple of folding chairs. "You good?"

Kini nods quickly keeping from whining.
"Do you think he's alright?"

"No, no I do not. Look, Kini, you really didn't have to come to work today. You coulda called in and said to Sakura, 'Mrs. Sakura ma'am, I got attacked by a bald eagal a few days ago and I'm still in pain. Can I not go to work today?' and she woulda said 'Oh yes, yes, of course you can take off. Thank you for letting me know and do get better soon.' See? Easy." Joe spoke, doing immatations of their voices as he explained.

Kini glares at Joe, "Perphaps some would but I can't and wouldn't. Joe I don't know how much you understand about Mama Winter and the Press but what I understand is if I take a day off the Press will have one less good fighter when she attacks. Because she's watching us like a hawk I'm can't take that chance. I've already lost too many friends."

"'Good fighter'? Kini, please think about what you're saying. You're one leg short of being a 'good fighter' at the moment, y'know?" Joe pointed out.

"I can still run, kick, jump, and work Joe and I have thought about it."
