Adelaide headed towards the outskirts of town where her family's small ranch was. She envied the traveling merchants who could leave the town whenever they wanted, especially now that the emperor had been killed. Something was bound to happen here, but she was tied to their animals. She picked up the pace once the road became dirt and had little foot traffic. She smiled and gave a nod to a passing neighbor.

luca followed her and watched her.

Adelaide felt the peculiar feeling someone was watching her. She was pretty far from the city, and the chances that someone had trailed her all the way out here seemed slim, but she dropped one hand into the pocket of her dress, closing in around the handle of her knife. She felt a bit stupid and overly paranoid, but she couldn't afford to lose any of the items she had in the bag, so she figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

luca swerved in and out of the trees watching waiting for the right moment.

Adelaide saw her house come into view, but she walked past it. If someone was following her, she was not about to the lead them directly to her house. Instead, she turned and walked into the barren field her family was growing crops on, where there was no cover.

luca stopped and watched cursing herself out in her head.

Adelaide really hadn't thought about where she could go once she ended up in the field. The woods lined three sides, and the road she had been on before bordered the fourth. She really didn't want to sit in the field forever. She scoured the sides of the field, looking to see if she could see her follower.

her blue hair flashed again the green of the forest.

Adelaide caught a glimpse of an unnatural shade of blue through the trees. She felt rather satisfied she'd been right about being followed, but she wasn't exactly happy about it. She walked back to the road, standing a good distance from where she had seen the figure. The occasional farmer would pass by on the road, so she felt comfortable enough to confront the figure. "I know you're there. What do you want?" She called out, keeping her voice even.

she steps out her hands up "food?" she says smiling.
