"Well, let me show you." He replies simply. He carefully rips the sketch out of his sketchbook. "First, put the transfer paper behind the sketch. Remember to keep the dark side facing the sketch." He takes the watercolor paper. "Put the paper you want it transferred to under it."

"Then, you trace over the sketch, and," he traces over the head of one deer, then reveals the watercolor paper underneath, "you'll have it on the other paper." Sure enough, a fainter version of the deer's head is now on the paper.
