Darn it this is one deep spell! Another look from what Ryliq said about one of you getting out, one of the souls doesn't make it so if you read it you might die and pega lives but if you don't you live but pega dies? Hmm . . . Oh why don't BOTH of you read the spell? :D

Heeey . . . . I don't know if this will work, but since part of Pega's body is in the bag if you drop it out the window will it stop her from harming herself? Keep her upper body in the cage and drop her down then read the spell!
