Jason, having knelt to look in the glass, stood and turned to him. He seemed a little shocked by the patient look but he had a softness in his own expression of stress and worry. "But....we could try...something less dangerous so that we have less a risk of losing anyone." He said softly, mostly to himself,as his tail twitched behind him. His wings turned a soft blue but also dark purple that pounded at it as a stressed pinkish orange stretched over the underscales between areas where the purple was pounding like bubbles against the fluffs of soft blue.

"And Virus? What if she knows you dont have the bug anymore? You cant expect to--" Puck stopped, staring at him, as something clicked in his head. "This isnt about getting the scepter, is it?" Ash looked away. "This is about killing Virus. Youre hoping to get close enough to stab her or cut off her head or whatever, and you dont care what happens next."

"What she did to me was bad enough." Ashs silver eyes glittered as he turned back, cold as the moon overhead. "What she made me do, I will never forgive. If I am discovered, I will at least create a big enough distraction for you to slip in and grab the scepter."

Jason understood, clearly he did and it showed as he sighed and his shoulders slumped. He understood revenge, and with what he'd explained to Ash about his semi-twin and their sisters and father,so much. He wanted revenge against his brother and so he knew he'd most likely not be able to stop Ash in this decision. "How can we help pull it off? It would be more real if we still reacted to you as an enemy if we where close by or in view. You can't do it all alone." He said, eyes firm and looking into Ash's silver, beautiful silver, eyes. They reminded him so much of his little half brother.

"Still." He said, crossing his arms. "I'd like to help any way I can." His tail swished stubbornly. "I don't want to be a useless hide of scales as before, standing by like I did back four years ago. I was stuck in place while I watched my older sister die and my younger sister be ripped open, and I watched her die in my arms. I don't want to be useless like that again, never again and certainly not now."

Ash shook his head.

"HE IS RIGHT." Ironhorse stood on the other side of the glass, watching them. His eyes glowed red in the darkness. "IT IS TOO DANGEROUS. FOR YOU." Abruptly, he bowed. "IT HAS BEEN AN HONOR. WERE THINGS DIFFERENT, I WOULD GLADLY SERVE YOU UNTIL THE END OF TIME." He looked to Ash and nodded, as it suddenly dawned on me what he was implying. "HE THINKS THE WORLD OF YOU, PRINCE. PROTECT HIM WITH YOUR LIFE."

He whirled and took off, oblivious to Jason. He approached the second skylight, and he gathered himself and jumped...

The glass exploded as he crashed into it, shattering into a million sparkling pieces. The glittering shards rained down on the crowd below. Screaming and snarling, they looked up, covering their eyes and faces as the massive iron horse smashed into their midst with a boom that shook the building. Roaring, Ironhorse reared up, blasting flame from his nostrils, steel hooves flailing in deadly arcs. The room erupted into chaos. Once they recovered from their shock, Thornguards and wiremen surged forward to attack, flinging themselves at Ironhorse, ripping and clawing.

Jason paled and his wings drained of utter color. The blood drained from his face and his wings slumped to fold by his hips rather than against his back as they had done when he'd seen Puck again for the first time back at the edge of the winter territory. He would have looked in to watch if he wasn't scared of being seen. "Wha-..."

"We're going to go down. Not that way," he said, pulling Jason back to the unbroken window. "The distraction has already been launched. We cannot help him now. Our target is Virus and the scepter. You should stay here, Jason. You have no magic and..."
