They already have everything except for enough butter to make a cake.

Butter is an easy enough substitute, all you need is applesauce. After Lycan finds all of the ingredients he shows Peg how to make the bake batter.

She happily listens and watches.

Lycan goes through each little step and explains the best techniques.

She listens closely.

Eventually Lycan hands over the bowl to Peg, "Want to pour the batter into the pan?"

She excitedly nods and does so. She's very careful with it, taking her time despite her eagerness.
