"Up you go Logan." Sirina helped Logan on Lucky and led Lucky back to the stables.

Logan didn't say thank you, instead, he said: "I didn't need your help, ya know"

General was tagging along

Sirina stopped, turned toward Logan, gave him a look that would have stopped a charging bull, then went back to leading Lucky.

"What was that for? I can handle things on my own," Logan said, his mood turning sour

General grazed for a few moments before trotting to catch up with them

"You being stubborn when clearly you are injured."

"Okay, first: I'm not stubborn. Two, I'm not injured. I'm perfectly fine."

Sirina scoffed,"Then why couldn't you get up?"

"Maybe I didn't want to. Ever think of that?"

"I think you are smarter then to stay down when a horse is a bucking bronco."

He clenched his jaw, refusing to say that she was right, so he just didn't say anything.
