Not long after a white bird flies by the kitchen window. Lycan ducks out of view of the bird and waits as it circles. After about ten minutes it flies off and Lycan pokes his head out. Keeping a distance from Peg Lycan transforms into his wolf form. He walks towards the front door and sniffs it before opening it and walking outside. He checks the perimeter of the house and especially in front of the kitchen before going back inside.

Peg stays hidden.

Lycan transforms back into his human form, "You can come back out now. I'm sorry if I scared you. This may sound strange but avoid being seen by any white birds."

She comes back out.


Daire, who had been staying in the dining room, pokes his head in. "Everything alright?"

"No, it's not alright. That white bird works for a hunter I ran away from."

He frowns deeply. "Oh."

"Well now you know what to avoid. What about we play a game to take everyone's mind off of this?"

Peg takes interest immediately, but Daire seems more neutral.

"Okay I can teach you a board game or would you like to play hide and seek?"

He can see Daire visibly and completely lose interest. "I'm heading out. You two have fun, though."


Peg shrugs, indecisive but excited.
