Normally he wouldn't bother with something as liquid as jelly, but he was hungry enough not to pay it any mind as he tore into the sandwich with a bit of a nod.

"..We're pretty much good with that or heavy weapons. Anything involving close combat or traditional weaponry doesn't go too well with us usually since we don't really have muscle or bone or anything. I've seen some Daarizi just use their metal plates in their arms for stuff like that, but honestly, if you ask me, it's just them asking to get their cores ripped out."

"I see, so our species are quite different. We Saqlirians are fairly sturdy and do far better with hand to hand. A few of us can shoot using only our horns to locate targets, but over 89% of us cannot. Zeth and I are some of the more elite and well trained that are able to. Does your species have any traits only possessed by a select few?"

Traqil eagerly bit into his meal, not having had eaten in a long while. This specific food was his favorite. He hadn't heard of it while on his hime planet, but upon arrival, some humans gave him food and home to show their gratitude for his protection. He as loved it ever since he fist tasted it. A simple food, but delectable nonetheless.

"I wouldn't be the one to ask. Heard the Overseers have some special training that lets them use certain magic abilities though, but I've never seen it for myself. Very rare for any of us to even get close to any of them since they never leave the planet and all generally stay in the Council district. Can't really say anyone really knows what any of them even do since they just stay in hiding unless they're assigned on to work on the Council."

"Magic you say? Never trusted the stuff. I prefer to entertain thoughts of things much more explainable." He took another bite of his sandwich, wiping a few crumbs off of the corner of his mouth.

"You look like you have been in a few skirmishes, no? What have you taken up since coming to earth? I'd assume something strongly related to the military if Zethrin was one of the bounty hunters pursuing you."

She grabbed her dagger, now clean. "Yep." She stuck it into her scarf, where she could easily get to it.

"Can't say I trust it either.. But like I said, just a rumor.."
He took another bite of the sandwich.

"Honestly, I don't know..? Guess I'm a bounty hunter myself, but most of the time I just get stuck babysitting a couple of humans and hybrids. Never feel like anything gets done."

Basil

"Bye Rey, we'll be back soon!" After hearing Corasi planned to come along, "NIce! Where should we walk to?" Basil inquired cheerily, a smile across her cheeks.

"I never understood that mindset like Zethrin does, I always prefer company, I have also sworn to spend all of my time here protecting the humans and Hybrids. I never approved of Zethrin's job, but we all take different paths I suppose."

Traqil finished off his sandwich with a satisfied "mm."

"Somewhere we won't die or get captured?" She asked half-jokingly. "Anyways, we can just walk around the base, explore the city perhaps? What would you like to do?"
