"I....d-don't dance." He murmered,gently releasing from Puck and dashing to a corner,Lila following quickly. "Jj! Hey!" She soon had him close and he kept telling her to leave him be and that he was fine but she kept playfully punching his shoulder and softly smiling. "Four years Jj.You can't avoid dancing forever. Your birthdays coming up and that'll make five years,what.You going to wait another five for it to be a decade? Come one,you where doing good.What happened to the kid I knew who could tear up a dance floor?"
Jason shook his head,pushing her away gently. "P-Please...maybe...I don't want to dance again.You know...what happened."

Ash excused himself from the girls and walked over to Jason, smiling at him. Ash took his hand and drew Jason close, whisking him away before he could complain. "Stop thinking," Ash murmured as they swirled across the floor in front of several dozen people. "The audience doesnt matter. The steps dont matter. Just close your eyes and listen to the music."

"A-Ash...n-no please." He begged softly,weakly trying to pull away. Lila watched,knowing Jason was emotionally in pain right now. She shook her head,blond hair swaying. "Let him breath....no one ever gives him that.Not even me.Let him breath,even he needs a break." She said,then decided to hang with Puck since Jason seemed to be okay with him.

Jason was shaking faintly. "I-it's not anything around....please....I don't dance.Not anymore."

He chuckled. He laughed so infrequently, and it was a deep, marvelous sound when he did. He pulled back to look at him directly. "If that's what you want..." He decided to change the subject. "There was enough glamour in that one corner to choke a dragon. Isnt that why were here, anyway? For the glamour?"

He avoided eye contact and nodded,looking to the side and trying not to fall into Ash's laugh. "Yeah." His voice was soft,almost a whisper,as if he just wanted to hide away.

"Ah. I hurt you again, didn't I?" Ash brushed Jason's cheek with the back of his hand. "Ive seen thousands of mortal girls and boys. I've seen even more dragons," he said softly, "more than you could ever count, from all corners of your world. To me, theyre all the same." His finger slid below his chin, tilting his head up. "They see only this outer shell, not who I really am, beneath. You have. Youve seen me without the glamour and the illusions, even the ones I show my family, the farce I maintain just to survive. Youve seen who I really am, and yet, youre still here." He brushed his thumb over Jason's skin, leaving a trail of icy heat. "Youre here, and the only dance I want is this one."

He so wished he could believe him,that he could pull close and trust him.But he knew he couldn't,and partially didn't want to. He thought that his feelings for Puck would help him recover and feel better but they only made it harder.Because he loved Puck just as much as Ash was causing him to love him as well. "I don't d-dance....please....you've seen what happens to dragons when they sh-shatter....your the only one who's been able to force me so far that even I c-can't reverse it to only scars...I stopped dancing....it's been four years,I....I d-don't dance...my father loved to see me dance,that's why.Four years ago the war began because he died....he died and I couldn't stop his shattering...I stopped dancing because it used to be the only thing that brought me joy....and I'd loved to dance for him,but....once he was gone....my true joy died with him." He spoke softly,closing his eyes and not able to pull himself away from the winter prince.

"I know I can't just say sorry and be forgiven. I have to prove that my love is true...In a perfect world, I would only make you smile." His nearness was overwhelming, his face and lips just inches away. It was possible to see the hunger in his eyes. He trembled in anticipation, his lips aching to touch Jason's, but a flicker of regret crossed his face and he silently drew back, ending the moment. His heart was thudding loudly. "Since were on the subject," Ash murmured after a few minutes of silence, "you never answered my question."

Jason swallowed hard,looking down. "Which one?" He said softly.

His eyes were deep gray in the dim light. Glamour shimmered around him, heavy in the air and in the dreams of those around them. For just a moment, the illusion of the human boy in front of Jason wavered, revealing an unearthly faery with silver eyes, glamour pouring off of him in waves. Compared to the suddenly plain human dancers surrounding them, his beauty was almost painful. "Do you love him?"
