"Oh no, you two sweethearts are so not running off on my watch. I'm not having either if you two get yourselves killed."
She folded her arms, seeming to give a pout.
"Why don't we all just stay here where it's nice and safe, ok? Don't make me have to drag you two back when I have to babysit the dumb rat anyways."

Scias
"..Eh, she's fine, dude. Kinda got into a fight with her about me trying to take on the army myself earlier.. And some other stuff. Actually met her since she was sent by the army to kill me for defecting."
He rubbed the back of his head, twitching his whiskers. "What about you?"

(Storm rolling through at my place, so if I don't respond for a while, wifi probably cut out again.)

Traqil

He nodded as Scias spoke, the whole murdering defective soldiers thing definitely sounded like Zethrin. "I met her many years ago when we were still kids. I lost track of her after I went missing in a war, but we reunited here a few years later"

"Ha! Finally got one!" She eagerly flipped over her next card.. A king? "Oh hell yes."'


Basil

"Come on Sereya, a little stroll wouldn't be so bad, would it?"

She sighed, relenting.
"..Fine, fine. But you better not be out too long. Make sure you take a weapon or something. I'd eat my own horns if you two got captured or something without me around."

Scias
"Sounds rough.. You know why she headed to Earth? I haven't really seen any more of your species with the army, so I was wondering."

Traqil

He chuckled, looking back on those days nostalgically. "Well, she had a lover sometime back. They both wanted more, more that could not be found on our planet. Her lover was my sister. After I went missing, the two wanted to escape it all, but still make enough money to get by. They both ended up here and became bounty hunters, a career path that allowed them to use their training, and still work as partners." The further his story continued, beginning to recall why she worked alone. He prayed that nothing like that would ever happen to her again

"But anyway, what brought you here?"


Basil

"Alright, I think a knife would work." She stood to go and get her weapon, not intending on taking anything else. "You coming Corasi?"

"To Earth?
Here on assignment to get info on this war and humans.. Well, that was the order originally, now I guess I'm just here to end it. My species does this kind of observation and diplomatic work all the time.
Sometimes we get paid off by other species for work too since a lot of us do ground excavation or straight contracted military duties too."

Traqil

"So your kind is the Darrazi right? You look the part. You kind is interesting from what I've heard. I can't say I knew you all could turn into rats, that's most assuredly a surprise to me."
Traqil got up after a moment and wandered into the kitchen. "Also I am sorry, it was rude of my not to offer you something to eat before hand. Can I offer you anything?"

"Eyes reeeally give it away, huh?
Not just rats, pretty much anything we've seen before as long as we can compress our bodies down to it. We keep a whole database going as a species even."
He twitched his whiskers in thought for a moment.
"And..I'll take anything, honestly. I'm starving."

Traqil

"Alright...No chocolate, not while Zeth's awake...She'd kill me, or start an nasty food fight...Uhhh, how do you feel about a sandwich?"
Traqil had already begun getting preparing ingredients before an answer was given. He wouldn't mind fixing something else, but he wanted a sandwich, so that is what he was making. Letting his curiosity get the best of him, he continued to question Scias.
"What would you say your species is best at in terms of battle."

Scias
"..Sandwich? Honestly eating sand doesn't sound to great to me.. Sounds like it'd be real rough and just get everywhere."
He shrugged his ratty shoulders.

"Usually armed combat, preferably wirth long ranged weapons or anything requiring stealth tactics."

Traqil

"Ah, so you do best at snipping I suppose." It took the Saqlirian a moment to understand what Scias had said regarding sandwiches.

"Wha? Sand...Ha! No my friend, it is two pieces of bread with usually an assortment of cheese and meat in the middle, but I prefer Peanut butter and Jelly in my sandwiches." He finished up making a sandwich and laid it in front of Scias. "There, peanut butter and Jelly, have at it."
