"Is your tongue bleeding?" She asked. She had forgotten about D's tongue for a moment.

She tasted the iron tang but shook her head. "No,D okay." She said,giving a smile. It didn't hurt as bad as how she'd been *cough cough* treatedharshly at the lab so she didn't think it to bad.

Kate's eyebrows pulled together, making worry lines on her forehead. "Are you sure? Can you stick your tongue out so I can see? Please?"

Being dumb and not realizing that she'd give herself away ,she did as she was told and put her tongue out,sorta like a kitten when their caught drinking water and look like they shouldn't have been. It was sliced down the middle,at least about a centimeter and a half down. There where marks of old burns and cuts from before.

Kate started to chew on her lip, wondering what to do about this..."How quickly do you usually heal from cuts like this?"

"Okay...some...times fast...not often,but...okay." She said,giving a shrug. Her talons slid a bit side to side on the tile as she shifted her weight and her wings ruffled and spread slightly to keep her balance.

"Maybe if there's some water around here somewhere..." Kate said, mostly talking to herself at this time. "And then we can put some pressure on the wound....And maybe some ice, somehow..."

"Hm?" D didn't know about ice or what pressure was. "D be okay...not..bad." She said,as if that made it all better. She wasn't used to someone caring. Usually the lab people where rude.

"No, it's not bad. It's worse. That's not a good-looking bite, you know." She had found a glass of water, but it was warm...She was tempted to go and find some ice, somehow, and she needed something like gauze or cloth to put pressure on the wound...

"Not....bad..." She said,then lifted her right wing to show the base that had a large scar that looked like it had been ripped open and torn at. "Bad." She said,pointing.
