i was born with it but you can become an alpha. when werewolf have packs there has to be an alpha leader other werewolves can take that from alphas by killing them.
there are two types of alphas the common alpha who can be killed and others get there power and then theirs the rare alphas who are born with it and are stronger and bigger then the others and cant died by time.
