Felinus followed the pair around until he felt he had heard and seen enough. He still had some time before meeting his client. He trudged down the street until he spotted the smoothy bar. Feeling a little hungry he decided a nice smoothie sounded good. That and the chance to get off his paws for a bit to calm his nerves before his meeting. He entered the shop and took his place in line.

It wasn't busy at the smoothie bar at the moment, so he had only needed to wait a short time before he was secreted

Sonic jogged back to Tails' house a short while later, casually sliding to a halt. He trotted over to the tree out front, deciding to check and see if Knuckles was in a better mood, but promptly let out an exasperated sigh.

"Ah, Chaos." He remarked upon finding the branches vacant. The hedgehog wasn't all that surprised, though; his companion was almost a little too good at vanishing, so this wasn't the first time and certianally wouldn't be the last.

Sonic shook his head with a coy smile. "Welp. Alright. Have it your way." He said to nobody in particular before spinning on his heel and heading into town. Might as well grab a bite to eat!

Felinus felt his whiskers twitch and looked up in surprise. He smiled in relief at having run into Rune so quickly. Knowing better than to use her hero name in public he merely responded, "What's the best smoothie you got? I could really use a good pick me up about now."

" I would recommend a mix of banana and strawberry if you want to stick with a classic. But I would recommend the berry black or cinnamon twist if your looking for something different."
( I know nothing about smoothies in real life, so I might not know the best combination.)

Sonic trotted through town, idly gazing at the various shops in deep consideration. He had quite a few options for breakfats to choose from, but was a tad indecisive. Pancakes sounded tempting, though he also wanted to be in and out.... Decisions, decisions.

( thank you for offering. I was planning on thinking of making up random mixes of fruit that sounded good originally. Watermelon, kiwi, pineapple, and mint is one.)

(Mint's harder to come by in smoothies, but when you do, that's some of the most refreshing stuff you'll ever drink if done right. Never had it with pineapple and kiwi personally, but I know it's great with watermelon. I usually go for yogurt, strawberry, and kiwi. Yogurt thickens it a bit, so it works nicely for a meal if you want something quick. That said, it's not my favorite, but I know banana with either strawberry OR pineapple and orange is pretty popular. My family are big fans of mixed berries and lime with a splash of pineapple juice.

Felinus hummed in thought. "How about your berry blast? By the way, Do you know about the Italian place across from Knothole Grocers?" He hoped Rune would not claw his eyes out for what he was about to say next. He did not want to draw undue attention to themselves and this was the most casual way of arranging to meet her later.

Making sure not to speak to loudly he conversationally asked, "How about dinner tonight, my treat and I hear they serve the best cuisine in town". He leaned closer and spoke so low that only Rune would be able to hear, "We need to talk, canine stuff." He looked at Rune his eyes still slightly troubled before quickly tipping his hat to reveal his white lightning mark for an instant. He just hoped she was enough of a quick study to get the message. Any other method might draw suspicion towards them...and if there was a Cainar here it was something they could not afford.
