Val did a flip off the branch, "I just want to go home." she said hugging herself.

Sonic hopped down and landed beside her. "Okay. I'll ask Shadow to take you back in a bit," He said, tugging lightly at his scarf. "I thought you might wanna take a look around first? Take a photo, brag to your firends?" He hinted.

"Why bother when I have no friends." Val said softly.

"Well, Shadow ain't gonna take you to Angel Island again if you want no part in this whole mess, so you might as well make the most of it." Sonic stated. "Besides, it isn't everyday you lay eyes on a ledgendary location like this!"

Val sighed, "Fine, but I've heard legends that an Echidna lived here or something." she said wondering if the legend was true.

Sonic's ear twitched slightly. "I uh... it wasn't a ledgend, but..." He cleared his throat, then shook his head "Nevermind. It isn't important," He said, putting on a smile. "C'mon! I'll show you around!" He said, zipping off at a reasonable pace.

Val frowned and caught up with the hedgehog easily, "What do you mean it wasn't a legend, the echidna was real, can I meet him?" she asked, "This place might be more interesting than I thought." she said silently.

Sonic slowed to a halt by a stream. "He doesn't like strangers. Like at all," He said quickly. "Also, he'd be with the Master Emerald, so he might try to strangle us both if I take you there,"

Val narrowed her eyes, "Your not telling me something that I would like to know." she said tapping her foot.

Sonic eyed her for a long time. "...It's not a good idea," He replied.
