You have no clues. All you have is a request letter and an address on the letter. Narrator will start guiding you now.
You exit your office with the car keys and jump into your old car, which coughs to life when you gear it up. It's a long drive to the road in the address, and when you finally get to the road, it is night. You check all of the numbers of the houses lining the street but they all seem to be less than the number in the address. When you look down the street it goes on into a shadowy forest, perhaps the mansion you were looking for would be there.
Velos sighed. He didn't particularly want to go and explore a shadowy forest - in his option it was a recipe for disaster. He turned off the gas in the car using the keys after parking it along the road. He would take a quick nap then walk up, rather than drive.

Emma looked at your letter and tilted her head. "It's made of the same paper..." She pointed out. "But it's not an invitation to the Games. What, a missing child? We're all adults here." She laughed. "I'm probably even older than you." She still watched you dubiously as she began to walk past you. "I'm telling Emily."

She speaks without turning around. "I'm just a cab driver, sir. Everything I tell you is gossip ot rumour." She pauses, then continues on with a scary air. "But I hear... Whoever goes in there is never seen again."

You carry on, and it wasn't before long that you came to a place surrounded by a crooked iron fence. The gates hung open, so you drove through without a problem. It seemed to be a large yard, and slabs of stone seemed to be erected in rows. Further inwards there seems to be the remains of some structure, but it was too far away to see clearly.

Right then, let's have it your way and make it exciting.
*Diverging from original path*
You feel your eyes grow heavy and soon enough, you fall asleep.
But you seem to wake up immediately after, and when you look around, all is dark. No car, just a road and the trees around you. Your hands are covered in some sort of sticky liquid that smells strongly of iron, and before you, on the ground, a mass of unknown substance, the same liquid on your hands pooling out under it.
You now were standing at a place where a smaller road diverged off of the main road.

Velos sighed heavily, now he was here in a mess. He bent down to run the mysterious liquid through his fingers. Iron. The human blood had enough iron in it to make a nail, was some sort of factory here? he tried not to think too much of it and take in the feeling and smells of the liquid, although he doubted he could find out what it is. Everything was becoming super natural, super quickly. He wasn't a fan.

There was in fact a factory nearby, but it was broken down and abandoned, but you don't know and that was a lucky guess.
Anyways, you were standing in a puddle of blood and since you didn't do anything, you black out again. This time, you were afloat in the darkness, a line of white words glowing in front of you.
Do you feel anything?

When you knock, the door creaks open with the force of your knocks. It seemed like this mansion had been abandoned and nobody was home - inside, you could see a pair of broken down double doors to your left, a pair to your right, and straight ahead, a grand staircase that had seen better days. A dusty old lamp sat on the banister of the staircase, somehow it is lit.
"Hello?" I call out, moving towards the lamp.

Nobody responds to you. However, there seems to be the sound of laughter from a young female child coming from the second landing, somewhere you would need to take the stairs to get too. Everywhere else seemed really dark, so you would need a light source.
You could also explore the rooms on the first landing if you wish.
