They are very intelligent, you know. If you haven't already guessed, there is something greater than anything in this maze. No,greater is the wrong word. More powerful is the right word, there is a darkness controlling some of those around us. Soon enough, brother will turn on brother because darkness will control them both. It will control you too, unless you escape and save the Sylesti. Now, times are rough, darkness has taken over our ability to persuade animals to our side. They have camps around the maze where Sylesti take their own family hostage and kill them unless they join the evil ways they live by. However, it is not their fault. But yet again, trust no one, unless you want a knife in your back.
You turn away, unable to hear it no more.

I will take the bait and ask her why she is still floating. (I want to ask about my nixi but I have learned that if the narrator asks you something twice, do what they ask).
