"Soren," I say. "Found him as a baby with a broken wing."

"Anytime from three seconds to three months." She said sarcastically

"Aww, that's so cute!" Serenity said, turning her focus to the owl. "Hey Soren, can you come over and land on my shoulder please?" She requested, wanting to see if her powers could also work on animals.

Soren stared at her with a look that plainly said, 'Now why would I do that?' and landed on my shoulder instead, preening himself smugly.

"Humph, well, I guess my powers don't work on birds... but maybe mammals is different, maybe a dog or cat would listen to me" Serenity wondered out loud. She walked up to a staff member, requesting him to bring her a dog. He complied, bringing out a husky for her.

"Follow me" she told it. The dog followed after her. She grinned as she turned "now, please sit" she told it, the dog sat. "Now go over and lick Lily, the girl with the owl" she told it. The dog went over, licked Lily on the leg, and then ran back. "Good boy" she said happily.

The lady took her husky back and left through the big steel door, which electronically locked behind her. The windows were too small to even try to fit through.

"I'm hoping for three seconds." Sarah said.

Anahita counted quietly. "Nope."
