*reasons to self* Ok, so this is not your Natural Form, you would be able to breathe underwater, you can eat underwater, you can walk on land and you can seemingly breathe air...

You still seem ready to me, and since you can live underwater, that would give you a serious advantage in many situations.
I assume the reason you didn't hide in the water though, was because you were curious of me?
