"I've tried that. No one I can go to is willing or able to give that much money. That or he has bought put their contracts."

"Hm." Collin pinned his ears back. "...I... May have an alternative idea." He suggested. "Now, I'm not incredibly wealthy by any means, but I do earn pension and own a small amount of land for military service. Only fourty days a year on average, though, customary for my trade; I spend the other 320 or so with other jobs. Castle maintenance and equestrian husbandry, personally. Perhaps you could work out something with Lunar's military offer. The nice thing about land is, you can increase the value of it with some maintenance. Sell it off to Ackley..."

Collin chuckled. "Other knights enjoy crusades, though, that may be called piracy on the sea,"

"That's a great idea Collin. The issue is Ackley might demand more land. He doesn't know this, but my family owns a small stretch of the beach nearby. I'm afraid if he finds out about, he'll want it too."

"Well, you said you know how much you owe him, yes?" Collin pointed out. "Don't fret. I'll pay for a good statesman should the need arise, but I'm willing to help keep Ackley honest until then."

"I'd appreciate it but now can we please get some food? I haven't had anything to eat all day because of work."

"Of course," Collin chuckled.

"So Sir Collin you said you found somewhere to eat earlier, where is it," Starlight asks.

"Oh, there are plenty of carnival stalls. I have a few favorites in mind, though..."

"Lead the way Collin," Starlight says, "I hope you two like what Collin has chosen. If not we'll find something else."

"What are you trying to imply, miss?" Collin jokingly chuckled.
