"He's either going to blow everyone out of the metaphorical water or make a complete fool of himself trying," Collin sighed, folding his ears back as he watched Kaladin back away from the drama. "Hold onto something,"

Starlight couldn't help but smile, "You've never seen Selkie shoot a bow, have you? Let's just standing behind something for cover is a must. I have no doubts he can pull the bow back but his skill with a bow is questionable."

Selkie goes over to the shooting line, eager to prove Gavin and Hollow wrong.

Collin chuckled lightly.

Kaladin was one of the last people at the line, carefully selecting his arrows.

Selkie looks at the target waiting impatiently for his turn to shoot. When his turn arrived Selkie pulled the longbow back with difficulty and shook quiet a bit while aiming. The arrow leaps from the long bow going past the target, ricocheting off the wall behind. Zipping high above the crowd the arrow begins it's downward landing right on the royal platform between Blue's feet.
Blue stares at the arrow unspeaking. Hollow and Gavin look at each other before going to see if Blue was alright. Luner shakes his head walking quickly towards the platform.
Selkie quickly backs away from the line putting his bow and arrows up before going to find where the arrow landed.
When Selkie gets there he looks sheepish as Luner glares at Hollow and Gavin. Blue comes out of the shock, "I'm assuming this was an accident."
"Yes Your Highness," Selkie answers.
"Alright then," Blue can't help his voice shake slightly, "I'm unhurt so let's just forget about this for now. In the future though Captain Waverrider you are not allowed to pick up a bow."

Starlight looks in Collin's direction, "By any chance did you see where the arrow landed?"

"I heard it land!" Collin exclaimed, climbing up on the fence to see over the crowd. "...Oh, oh, sweet Gaia below--" He mumbled, ears folding back.

Kaladin nervously shifted his weight as he stood at the line. ". . ."

"What happened," Starlight asks, "I hope no one was hurt."



Melany glances over at Kaladin, "Kaladin calm down. You're going to do just fine."

"No, every one is alright, but Selkie almost put an arrow through Blue." Collin replied.

Starlight tries immensely not to smile, "I'm glad he's alright but he should know better then to be without cover during this event."

Collin chuckled in agreement.

Kaladin exhaled softly, stepping up to the line and nocking an arrow onto his bowstring. "...Alright, alright." He mumbled, bringing the bow up and taking aim.

Starlight keeps her focus trained on Kaladin trying to listen if he hits the target. She hopes he does.


Blue calmly goes to watch the event from a slightly safer place.
