Kaladin smiled, picking Bella up and hugging her in return. "It's good to see you again too, Bella..."

Bella smiles and laughs at being picked up. Lynne tries to pounce on Kaladin's shoes only to be stopped by Kai. Kai growls with her hair raised causing Lynne to run off behind the house.

Kal pulled Bella onto his shoulders, glancing down at Kai. "Oh, don't be mean," He chuckled.

Bella smiles at up on Kaladin's shoulder, "Grandfather is working in the garden."
Kai snorts before looking up at Kaladin, We both know that Lynne loves to destroy shoes and she was trying to go after your shoes.

"But I wanted to say hello..." Kaladin gave a slight smile to show there was no hard feelings, though. "Come on, let's go see Douglas."

Kai trots towards the back of the house where Douglas was working. Pretending not to notice them Douglas keeps working though his ear does flick in Kaladin's direction.
Bella squirms slightly on top of Kaladin's shoulders wanting to help.

Kaladin seemed to understand and set her down, before going over to Douglas with a cheerful smile. "Douglas!" He chimed. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Douglas smiles turning towards Kaladin, "Yes it has been. Please pardon me for not getting up right now." Glancing over at Bella Douglas speaks, "Bella get away from those plants you know they're poisonous."
Bella backs away from the plants and runs over to Douglas.
"I'm sorry to frighten you but you need to be careful. These plants' are just defending themselves but they are still used for medicine," Douglas gently hugs Bella. Turning back towards Kaladin he asks, "How have you been?"

"...Better. Yes, I've been doing better." Kal said with a small smile. "I've just missed you and the others since last time."

"We've missed you too Kaladin," Douglas responds smiling, "after I finish, I have a few questions I'd like to ask your advice on. That is if you're willing to listen."
