"Did he say anything else," Selkie asks as he steps into the water. Carefully pulling out the Pearl he calls out to Starlight through their link.



Starlight looks towards the nearest body of water, "Collin take Evermore with you. I need to handle something."

"...Erm... I want to help, too." Kaladin said, voice finally raising above a stammering mumble.

Collin twitched an ear. "Do you want us to wait?"

"No go on ahead and take Whisper with you please. I'll meet you back at the castle," Starlight dismounts facing the river.


Selkie looks back at Kaladin confused, "I thought you were going with Locke."

Kaladin shook his head, flashing a slight frown. "No. I finally pulled myself together enough to come here, I'm not leaving."

Locke huffed, climbing up onto Drayke. He gave Selkie a knowing glance.

Collin nodded. "Understood."

Selkie nods once to Kaladin before nodding once to Locke, "Get going. We'll follow. Alright Kaladin did the guardian tell you anything else?"


Starlight swiftly runs towards the river not bothering with the scratches given to her by the plants.

"Not really. Ghosts are cryptic beings..." Kaladin replied.

"Of course," Selkie growls, "Alright do you have any ideas?"

"We need Starlight, don't we?" Kaladin mumbled. "For now, I'd say save your strength if possible. We've already alerted everybody who wanted to evacuate." He frowned slightly, watching Drayke lift off. "...Maybe we should leave as well. Or get to cover at least. It's not safe to be out in this, and most of the other Stormcallers have alrady left...."

"Starlight already knows Kaladin. Her gift as part of a siren is similar to mine, we can both talk through the water," Selkie explains.

Kaladin frowned a bit. "Are you even listening? I really, really think we shouldn't be out in this until she gets here,"
