Kaladin had since fallen silent. Eyes screwed shut, grip tight, fur bristling, shoulders shaking.

Kai just trembles near Kaladin scared but unwilling to move.

Locke narrowed his eyes as he gazed out at the storm, Drayke gliding on an updraft for the moment. "...What do ye think, old friend? Can ye fly in that?"
Drayke snorted out a puff of chilled air. Of course I can. Just watch me. With that, he beat his wings and took off.

(That and I've become attached to Kaladin and Kai.)

Kai whines sniffing the wind again before howling trying to let anyone that could hear them know where they were.

Locke winked an eye shut, catching wind of the howl. He gave Drayke a pat on the neck, geaturing in that direction. The large reptile seemed to understand, wheeling around.

Kal kept a firm hold on Kai.

Kai howls again hoping that Locke could hear them. She nuzzled Kaladin to try and comfort him.
