Selkie smiles, "That's great Kaladin. I'm sure Douglas would be proud."

Kai leans into Kaladin wanting more attetion.

Kaladin complied to Kai's wishes, nodding over to Selkie. "Th-thank you..."

Selkie nods once. Small talk was never his strong suit.
"Is there anything you'd like me to tell him or anyone else on that island? I was going to set sail for there next after resupllying."

"Just... Tell them I said hello and wish them all well. That I'm doing alright here."

"Okay then," Selkie answered quietly, "I guess I should be leaving then."
He felt guilty but he didn't know how to explain.

Kaladin nodded. "I-if you think so..."

Selkie glances back at the ship, "If you need me just speak to the water and I'll hear you okay? I'll try to help how I can. And again I'm sorry."

"It's..." Kaladin sighed, averting his gaze. "It's alright. I'm not that upset about it anymore, really..."

"If you say so," Selkie says calmly, "I guess I'll see you another time Kaladin."
Selkie walks back to the row boat and sadly he rows back to the ship. Calico glances at the shore before going back to work.

(May I borrow Kaladin's dreams for a bit? I mean may I give him a dream when he sleeps?)
